【アメリカ生活】Managing Team

先々週、仕事でManaging Teamというトレーニングをオンラインで受ける機会がありました。オンラインで用意されたトレーニングビデオを見て、自分が思ったことや学んだことをメモしておき、後日マネージャーと話し合う、という感じでした。

そのトレーニングで私が学んだことをいくつか。

• As long as you get the project done, it does not need to be the same way you do. Let staff to be more independent. 

部下がプロジェクトを期日内に、そして満足いくものに仕上げることができるのなら、その工程はたいして問題じゃない。部下が自分と同じ過程を踏む必要はなく、部下の行動を細部までチェックせず、もっと独立して仕事をさせろ、と。

1. Communicate with people but try not to be pushy. 
2. Set the clear goals from the beginning. 
3. Be patient. 
4. Provide constructive feedback. Be sure to address what could be improved and how expectations could have been met. 
5. Focus on what you can control, give others the benefit of doubt and be compassionate. 

私が特に頑張ろうと思ったのは3番と5番。私はとってもせっかち(英語ではimpatient}で、頼んだことは今すぐやってほしいのです。それから、5番の思いやり(英語ではcompassionate)をもつこと。完璧な人はおらず、誰でも間違いは犯すもの。「自分に厳しく、人にも厳しく」な私ですが、計画通りに物事が進まなくても、イライラせず心穏やかに、自分ができる事に集中して、人に優しくすごそうと思います。
